The Presidente chain of Mexican restaurants was established in 1967 with the opening of the first El Chaparral Mexican Restaurant in Sylmar, CA. 

It has since grown to include three Presidente Restaurants, two   El Chaparral Restaurants and an El Queso Grande Restaurant.
